Building Bright Futures: 185 Apprentices Join Local 104 Since 2025
Since the start of 2025, the Bay Area SMACNA JATC has indentured 185 new apprentices into its training program — a great sign of momentum in developing the next generation of skilled workers.
Recent upgrades to Local 104 facilities, in part made possible by ITI grants, include environmental improvements and new lab equipment that give apprentices hands-on experience in modern, high-quality learning spaces. These improvements help ensure that our apprentices are ready for the demands of today’s projects and the evolving technologies shaping the future of the sheet metal and HVAC industry.
