Bay Area SMACNA
Contractor Membership -
Associate Membership
Bay Area SMACNA Contractor Membership
Bay Area Contractor Firms, signatory to SMWIA Local 104, are automatically eligible to
benefit from the membership services provided by Bay Area SMACNA. Some of these services are:
- Labor Relations will negotiate agreements with SMWIA Local 104
and it's administration through the life of the agreement
- On-going regulatory advocacy at the local, state and national levels
- Educational Seminars, Safety Training, Social Events, and Membership Meetings
The annual dues for joining Bay Area SMACNA is $300. One hundred dollars is sent each to CAL SMACNA
and SMACNA National, constituting the annual dues to both of those organizations. With that affiliation
you are automatically a member of Bay Area SMACNA.
CAL SMACNA provides state regulatory and legislative needs and group insurance. CAL SMACNA also
provides a comprehensive safety manual which will assist you in complying with Cal-OSHA's Injury
Prevention Program (SB- 198).
SMACNA National offers many valuable benefits to its members. These benefits range from the
opportunity to participate in educational programs, to having direct access to accepted
industry technical standards at a substantial savings, to receiving labor issue consultants.
Newly approved Bay Area SMACNA members will receive a complimentary set of SMACNA technical

Bay Area SMACNA Associate Membership
A Trade or Professional Associate Membership is available with the Bay Area
SMACNA Chapter. A company membership entitles participation of the following
Bay Area activities:
- One complimentary foursome, and print recognition as a hole-in-one sponsor, in the annual
Bay Area Scholarship Golf Tournament. (Pasatiempo Golf Club, September 19, 2005). Registration
includes golf, cart fee, contests, prizes, tee prize merchandise, food and beverage, for four.
- A complimentary listing in the annual Bay Area SMACNA Directory for the member’s business
locations and/or contacts for the 17 county northern California Bay Area SMACNA jurisdictions.
- Newsletter feature article at least once every two years.
- Upon request to Bay Area SMACNA, opportunities for product presentations and/or professional
seminar presentations for the contractor membership at regular or special meetings.
- Subject to availability, Associate Members may purchase tickets to other Bay Area SMACNA events
(Annual Meeting, Oakland A’s and San Francisco Giants baseball games, salmon fishing trips, etc.).
